TiE Detroit Announces Vinita Gupta as Keynote Speaker for TiECon Midwest 2009

Vinita Gupta, Chairman and CEO of Quick Eagle Networks will be the Keynote Speaker for TiECon Midwest Womens Forum.

Farmington Hills, MI, October 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Detroit chapter of TiE, also known as “Talent, Ideas, Enterprise,” today announced that Vinita Gupta will deliver a keynote speech at TiECon Midwest 2009, Michigan’s Largest Conference on entrepreneurship to be held October 23 and 24, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn. The announcement was made today by TiE Detroit President, Tel Ganesan.

Vinita Gupta is a legendary Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur. She has the distinction of being the first Indian-origin-woman to take her company Digital Link Corporation public in early 1994. She co-founded Digital Link Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of innovative wide area network (WAN) access solutions for broadband applications and served as the Chairman and CEO of the company since its’ inception for almost 20 years. Under Mrs. Gupta’s leadership, Digital Link was also recognized in 1995 as one of Inc. 500’s “Fastest Growing Companies.”

Mrs. Gupta spent her energies being an investor and mentor to technology entrepreneurs. She also serves on the boards of non-profit organizations and is the Chair of The Community Board of Trustees of Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Silicon Valley. She passionately supports women’s causes, currently serving as the chair of Maitri, a California organization for helping women and children.
