Server Corps Opens in USA Technology & Research Park

A new, Mobile-based co-location and hosting company has opened in the USA Technology & Research Park.

Mobile, AL, October 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Server Corps specializes in offering a secure, Hurricane-proof data center for local businesses who need to store critical data and servers. The company also offers Managed Hosting, Managed Services, and Voice over Internet Protocol services, as well as select information technologies services, for its clients. The privately funded company has leased 3,300 square feet in the USA Tech Park.

Nik Martin, President of the eight-person company, said he was attracted to the USA Tech Park because of its location and concentration of high-tech and bio-tech companies. Since the location is 143-feet above sea level, his clients don’t have to worry about flooding or damage during hurricanes.

“The geography was right,” Martin said. “We didn’t want to be downtown. Here, we’re not in any floodplain.”

Martin said the company worked closely with USA Tech Park Director Ker Ferguson since some of its clients are other companies in the USA Tech Park.

Ker Ferguson, director of the Park, said, “Not only does Server Corps offer an array of highly needed services for the region’s business community, it enables the Park to be able to offer its clients an enhanced level of on-site technical infrastructure in support of their operations.”

Ferguson also said that he looks forward to working with Server Corps to broaden the options available to Park clientele across the full spectrum of telecommunication services.

The USA Tech Park currently includes 15 privately run innovation and technology companies, with a combined workforce of over 550 persons.
