Randy Travis Joined by Joe Guy in Support of The Damon and Stella Foundation for Mental Health

Nashville, TN, October 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Country music legend, Randy Travis, welcomed the support of Australian horse guru, Joe Guy, in his work with The Damon and Stella Foundation For Mental Health. Mr. Travis has been the spokesman for the group since its founding in 2006 and is excited by Mr. Guy's sharing the profits from his book sales. Both men have been personally affected by the lost of a loved one to suicide and had the opportunity to discuss their shared tragedies. "I think your wanting to be involved in The Damon and Stella Foundation For Mental Health is great," said Randy Travis. “It’s a great thing that we can let people know there’s help.”

Joe Guy is currently riding horseback across the continental United States bringing his expertise in horse training, his autobiography, Living a Dream, and his support of The Damon and Stella Foundation For Mental Health to stops throughout the country. His ride will take him through the southern parts of the US, culminating in a press event upon his arrival in Tombstone, AZ, Spring 2010.

The Damon and Stella Foundation For Mental Health is a charity that increases the awareness of mental health illnesses and suicide prevention. The foundation was co-founded by Phillip Ivey and Dario Gildrie in March 2006, after Phillip lost his son Damon and Dario lost his wife Stella, both to suicide.
