Speed Venture Summit™ Companies to Vie for Awards

Nashua, NH, October 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Speed Venture Summit™ sponsors have sweetened the pot for companies pitching at the October 28 program in Nashua, New Hampshire, offering choice awards to the top performers in addition to prospects of reeling in private capital from New England’s leading investors. The Summit is the region’s premier speed-dating-style event for fast-growth businesses and investors, co-hosted by the New Hampshire High Technology Council and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, and brought to you by Gold Sponsor Comcast Business Class.

Fifty of New England’s fastest-growing hot companies have been selected to pitch their growth stories to the region’s leading private capital investors. The five top presenting companies, as ranked by the investors, will qualify to participate in a Pitch-Off, where they will deliver a 1-minute elevator pitch to a crowd of over 300 persons during the early evening networking session. The audience will select the most compelling presentation as the winner.

“We are proud that Dynamic Network Services, Inc. (Dyn Inc.) and ColoSpace have stepped up to offer a creative prize structure that will meet the demanding requirements of the Summit’s top companies,” exclaimed Summit producer Tim Platt. “These year’s prizes include:some of the latest from Dell’s Mini Netbooks product lineup, to serve the mobile needs of executives on the road, and mission critical data center services to keep their systems running when they are wooing customers, business partners and investors.”

Aaron Sawchuk, Cofounder and COO of ColoSpace, said: “We are pleased to help these fast-growing companies with our application hosting and data center services, so they can continue their primary focus on customer generation and product development.”

Dyn Inc.’s President and CTO Tom Daly added, “The Summit serves a vital role as an engine for economic and employment growth in the region, matching capital with the best growth stories in New England. We all know that executives of early stage companies are constantly on the road with their customers and business partners, so we’re pleased to provide the Summit’s top companies with Mini Netbooks for their on-the-go lives.”

At the Summit, participating businesses will represent all sectors and development stages, from start-up to later-stage and will “speed pitch” to the region’s savviest and shrewdest investors, ranging from individuals and Angels to venture capital firms and private equity and mezzanine financers. Organizers expect that a total of approximately 50 companies will speed-pitch to 25 different investor groups in private 1:1 sessions throughout the afternoon.

The “speed-pitching” segment of the Summit will be held from 2:00 to 5:15pm, and will be followed by a two-hour business networking session open to the public that will provide an excellent opportunity for young companies to gain exposure and knowledge around seeking investment capital.
