On 10/24/09: Engineers Walk for Education Hosted by National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Charlotte Alumni , UNC-Charlotte, Johnson C. Smith and NC A&T Chapters

Charlotte, NC, October 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On October 24th, 2009:

Local area members of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) will come together to promote awareness available through education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Volunteers will walk door-to-door distributing information about area college admissions, area vocational schools, GED, SAT/ACT, NSBE Resources, and financial aid opportunities. All are invited to participate.

Kimberly Mitchell-Walker, Board of Education, District 2 will address volunteers. The Charlotte Enterprise Community (CEC) Career Cruiser will provide workstations and wireless internet access for community use. Registration and volunteer instructions will begin at 9:30 AM at the Stratford Richardson YMCA located at 1946 West Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. The walk will benefit students of all ages.
