UINT and Laerdal Medical Get Finalists in the Health Category for the Coming Cartes Show Awards Sesames
The CPR card from Laerdal/UINT incorporates for the first time life saving resuscitation technology in a smart card format allowing it to be immediately to hand to guide life saving chest compressions. This could triple the survival chances of the more than 1 million people who suffer a sudden cardiac arrest every year.

The Sesames represent an unchallenged seal of approval in innovation and are regarded as global standards for card manufacturers and related industries.
“More than 1 million people a year suffer a cardiac arrest with only 5% surviving” indicates Ken Morallee Vice President Strategic Development at Laerdal Medical and adds, the chances of survival can be substantially increased if the person witnessing the arrest can provide high quality chest compressions, the vital element of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), before arrival of the ambulance; however today there is nothing practical to guide the rescuer to provide such quality compressions and that’s the purpose of their product.
