)-- Governor Rick Perry extended greetings to the members of the Texas Self Storage Association in observance of Texas Self Storage Week. The Association marked the event during its annual convention and trade show in The Woodlands starting October 25 – 28, 2009.
Attendees chose from sessions dealing with the latest innovations in solar energy as it applies to self storage, using technology to improve operations, customer service techniques, powerful business plans and a variety of workshops of interest to beginners and veteran operators too.
The convention culminated with a real estate forecast presented by noted economist Dr. Mark Dotzour, Real Estate Center of Texas A & M University, as well as the presentation of the Association’s annual market survey results, followed by a Perspectives on Storage Financing Today panel discussion.
The annual event also highlights the group’s fundraising efforts on behalf of the Shriners Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston.
