The North Grafton Ready Mix Plant was recognized by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association for its Environmental Management System (EMS) as a tool for environmental benchmarking and continual improvement, and as a means of recognizing those companies that adhere to the essential principles of the environmental and sustainability movements. In addition to North Grafton’s EMS, the site also demonstrates sustainable practices by using two unique systems, the site has recycled 173,143 gallon of its water in 2009 and has tripled its oil changes intervals in its mixer fleet through the addition of an oil by pass system.
