)-- Career Transformations has announced that Gary Phillips, a business consultant and guest lecturer at Wake Technical Community College and ECPI College of Technology, will be the speaker at the group’s next meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, located at 7506 Falls of Neuse Road. Phillips’ presentation, “Link-Me-In: Your Profile and Utilizing LinkedIn,” will provide an overview of establishing a profile and utilizing LinkedIn for a real time job search.
“We are excited to have Gary speak at Career Transformations,” said Linda Leake, Career Transformations’ team leader. “Social media is becoming an integral part of business in the 21st century, and Gary’s knowledge of LinkedIn will provide the group with the information needed to use this networking tool to their advantage.”
- Phillips is a graduate of N.C. State University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and has extensive experience in business management and development, global operations, profit and loss management, supply chain management and sales.
- He volunteers as a Disaster Action Team Leader for the American Red Cross and a mentor at the NCSU School of Management.
