XYIENCE and Circle K Stores Present Contest Winner with a New Harley-Davidson

Promotion generates a 30 percent increase in sales of Xenergy at Circle K stores.

Las Vegas, NV, November 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Shannon Moore of Tucson was named the winner of the XYIENCE/ Circle K Harley-Davidson giveaway on Tuesday, Oct. 27, receiving a 2009 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Low. Reuben Rios, XYIENCE vice president of sales, and Heather Heller, Circle K business manager in the package beverages, beer, and liquor division, presented Moore, a 45 year-old security officer, with his new bike at the Circle K administrative offices in Tempe, Ariz. Moore’s name was selected at random from entries received during the five-week promotion in 625 Circle K locations in Arizona and Nevada. Moore says he and his wife were shocked to learn that he’d won; Moore is a regular Circle K customer and picks Mango Guava as his favorite Xenergy flavor. Circle K reports that during the promotion, sales of Xenergy Premium’s four flavors—Cherry Lime, Cran Razz, Blu Pom and Mango Guava—increased by 30 percent, though no purchase was necessary to enter the contest.

“The promotion was very effective in raising awareness of the Xenergy brand among Circle K shoppers, which evident by the increase in sales. XYIENCE provided a standee of UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva, which grabbed shoppers’ attention. Our customers identify with the Harley-Davidson brand, so the entire promotion generated a great deal of excitement in our stores,” says Heather Heller, Circle K business manager in the package beverages, beer, and liquor division.

Moore is the second person this year to take home a new Harley-Davidson from XYIENCE; both brands are official sponsors of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which has gained tremendous popularity in recent years among the 18 – 34 year old demographic. Earlier this year, XYIENCE conducted a similar Harley-Davidson giveaway at Kum & Go stores, where sales of Xenergy quadrupled in participating locations during the promotional period.

Earlier this week, amateur filmmaker Joe Kreidel, also from Tucson was named the October winner for XYIENCE’s Xtreme Video of the Month contest, a six-month contest hosted by Urban Climber’s UCTV (www.myuctv.com), the magazine’s YOUTUBE for rock climbers’ website. Kreidel won a one-month supply of Xenergy Xtreme.
