Cahill Dental Care Centre Are Excited to Welcome New Dentist to Their Team

The team at the Cahill Dental Care Centre are delighted by the arrival of Chris Waith, who joined the practice earlier this month.

Manchester, United Kingdom, November 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Cahill Dental Care Centre, situated at 38 Higher Bridge Street, has been an established dental practice since 1959. Michael Cahill joined the practice in 1989, and now leads the team with his wife Fiona; Michael as Director and Principal Dentist, and Fiona as Financial Director of the practice. The rest of the dedicated team is made up of practice manager, Gayna Horridge; two hygienists Colin Clarke and Debbie Fielding; two nurses Toni Rostron and Jen O’Toole; a treatment co-ordinator, Emma Lever-Pilling; receptionist, Barbara Whittaker; and now Chris Waith, associate dentist.

Chris qualified in 2002 at the Manchester University Dental Hospital, then gained further qualifications in Oral Surgery, Sedation, and Implant Surgery, and now actually teaches those subjects to MSc and undergraduate students at the University. Chris has a special interest in oral surgery and implants and offers sedation for all aspects of dentistry.

Chris is an active supporter of Bridge2Aid. This is a dental charity that helps provide equipment, training and dental staff to developing countries. Chris has spent some time working as a dentist in Tanzania and is running the London Marathon next April to raise funds to help the charity.

When asked what attracted Chris to working at the Cahill Dental Care Centre, he replied, “I have found the team at the practice to be friendly and dedicated, well organised and professional. The practice is well equipped and has the forward thinking, preventative approach to dentistry that I believe in. I am keen to use my skills in sedation, implants and oral surgery to benefit not only the patients at the Cahill Dental Care Centre, but to be able to offer a referral service to other dental practices in the area. Sedation gives otherwise nervous patients the opportunity to have dental treatment in a safe and relaxed way, and I am hoping that this service will enable more fearful patients to receive the dental care they need.”
