Sandhoff launched after suddenly being thrust into a caregiver’s role. With no notice she found herself in a position of caring for her ill father long distance. Upon seeing him in the hospital and talking with his doctor’s, none of whom were optimistic, she started a caregiver’s journey that continues today.

On the heels of the crisis with her father her step-father, who had a setback with treatment for prostate Cancer, chose to stop all treatment. As her step-father’s wish was to remain at home, Sandhoff was faced with helping her mother go through the terrible heartbreak of letting her husband go.

Going through these life experiences, Sandhoff realized she was not alone in having to face and deal with aging parent’s health and livelihood. “Our parents not only look to us for help, but they see us as a resource and depend on us for guidance. That is why I decided to launch this website,” says Sandhoff. “To help people who don’t know where to turn for help and information about caring for their aging parents or loved ones.”
