Phoenix, AZ, November 14, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Sandy Abalos, managing partner of Abalos & Associates, PLLC (www.abaloscpa.com), participated in Women and Health Care Week discussing the current health care process and potential reforms. Abalos partook in Teletown Hall and the Bloggers Call on Nov. 4. The Women Teletown Hall involved the GOP women members and leading American health care experts, calling women households throughout the country to increase awareness. The Bloggers Call had a similar goal, hosting a live video chat with members, leading national experts, and bloggers; also opening the chat up to questions submitted via Twitter.
“I was excited to take part in the Women and Health Care Week,” said Abalos. “Health care reform is a hot topic these days and it is important to educate yourself. The Women and Health Care week provided a lot of great information to women across the country.”
- Other events for the week included: a Women and Health Care Video on Nov. 2, Women and Health Care Factoids on Nov. 2 and a Women’s One Minute Push on Nov. 3.
- Abalos serves on the board of directors of the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW). In 2008, she was named to the National Center for Policy Analysis’ (NCPA) Family Policy Center Advisory Council. As a council member, Sandy provides her expertise in banking and accounting as NCPA works to elicit change and educate policymakers in Washington.
