Minding Your Matters® President Speaks at Women’s Business Summit

Raleigh, NC, November 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Janice Russell, CPO-CD, President of Minding Your Matters Organizing® spoke at this year’s Women in Business Summit entitled Boomer Diva Nation (BDN). Russell’s seminar was called Zero to Six in Five, where she shared her expertise as a veteran service-based business owner who grew her professional services company to six-figures within five years without having any previous business ownership experience. Some professionals start their business and experience success at first, and then wonder what happened in year two or three when the number of clients starts to decline. Others simply decide on a company name, create business cards, and expect business to come in. In today’s economic climate these approaches to business will not work, and Russell provided alternatives.

Russell shared productive ways to spend time and money in order to enjoy a prosperous business and she pointed out non-productive uses of time and money to be eliminated from business practice in order to be profitable. Attendees were encouraged to establish an action-oriented goal to grow their business and determine a person, product, or company to leverage in order to extend business results. Russell explained that many business owners don’t understand how leveraging from others rather than reinventing the wheel extends results and can make a company profitable.

“After hearing Janice’s presentation today, I am so impressed by her professionalism and obvious experience,” said Deidre Hughey, President of Women’s Business Owners Network (WBON) in Cary, NC. “When I’m ready for an organizer, Minding Your MattersÒ is the company I would call!”
