San Diego, CA, November 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- At the 2nd Annual American Kettlebell Club Classic Lifting Championships, Team Adventure Fit (Daniel Schlanbusch & Michele Schlanbusch) won 1st place in the Biathlon event for their respective weight categories.

The Biathlon is an event that consists of two lifts: (1) The Jerk and (2) The Snatch. The competitor must lift their respective weights as many times as they can for 10 minutes without stopping, executing each and every repetition with precision, speed and efficiency. Both lifts require extreme cardiovascular conditioning, strength, endurance, flexibility and complete mental focus.

Competitors travelled from as far as the Australia, Canada, and the Ukraine as well as all over the United States to compete. A total of 35 competitors (both men and women) ranging in age from 22 years to 64 years of age. Surprisingly, 1 out of every 7 competitors was over the age of 50. For a sport as demanding as this one, that’s amazing.

Michele Schlanbusch said, “We are both thrilled to have represented Adventures In Fitness.Biz as well as we did!” Daniel Schlanbusch said, “The international sport of Kettlebell lifting is growing in its popularity here in the United States and we are both proud to be a part of this elite sport.” Michele Schlanbuch said, “As first time competitors, we had so much fun and look forward to moving up in rank at our next competition.”
