Wales, United Kingdom, December 04, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Alex Alley the skipper of the peoples boat officially launches the peoplesboat.com website. With up to 7,000 advertising spaces on the real boat he hopes to raise lots of money for charity.
"Being able to build a complex website that not only turned Alex’s dream into a reality but also to help raise money for charity was a great honour.“ said Andrew Diamond, Founder and CEO. “From the peoplesboat.com website everyone can truly get involved and help raise money for charity. What is even better is that you can then have your photo or logo printed on the actual race boat itself and track it as it sails around the world. We will have up to 7,000 donors so it is definitely going to be a very colourful boat!.”
“When I came up with the idea of the People’s Boat, I realized that I would need someone quite special to design and run the website behind the campaign. I needed a company who would understand the campaign, and be able to come up with something quite unique. I found that with Yakimbi. They have been patient with us and supported us, as well as going the extra mile in designing the fully interactive website. They went out of their way to understand the project, and I would regularly come across Andrew working into the small hours of the morning. A great big thank you to everyone on the team at Yakimbi – we wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for you.” Alex Alley – Skipper, Peoples Boat.
