First Rehab Life Names "Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer"

Constantine T. Lappas joins First Rehab Life’s Executive Team

Great Neck, NY, December 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Constantine T. Lappas has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he oversees the company’s operations as well as underwriting and product development.

“Dino brings a tremendous wealth of insurance-related experience in underwriting, finance, operations and product development in the United States and abroad,” said Chief Executive Officer, Richard White. “Starting as an independent consultant with the company, he has become an integral part of our team. His innovative, hands-on approach will allow us to provide our brokerage community and their clients with exciting improvements and additions to our product line-up.”

In his more than 30-year career, Mr. Lappas has held key leadership positions with Fortune 500 insurance companies such as Cigna International, New York Life, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Guardian Life. He also consulted for Goldman Sachs, First Boston, Swiss Life as well as other well-known financial firms regarding mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other critical insurance industry issues and trends. Recently, Mr. Lappas was the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the International Brain Research Foundation, Inc.

Mr. Lappas is a graduate of the City College of New York with a B.A. degree in philosophy and furthered his knowledge at JJ Kellogg School of Management and Rutgers University. He is also a member of AICPA, SCORE (SBA) and an Elected Fellow of Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.
