About Woodfork Genealogy, LLC
Woodfork Genealogy LLC was founded by Marion Woodfork Simmons in 2004. The mission of the company is to document and preserve the history of the communities in which her ancestors lived. While performing genealogy research in Caroline County, VA Ms. Simmons found there was little documented information regarding the African American communities. She began to learn about the rich history of the communities while talking to local residents.
In 2009 she decided to collect information and memorabilia in order to preserve the history of the communities. The Union High School History project is the first of several projects she intends to pursue to preserve the history of African American communities in Caroline County, VA.
