Medical Solutions Proudly Announces Recipients of Healthcare Traveler Magazine’s 2009 “Travelers of the Year”
Omaha, NE, December 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Medical Solutions, Inc., a traveling healthcare staffing company, is pleased to announce that Anna “Chris” Creager and Bobbi Polley have been chosen to represent the company in Healthcare Traveler magazine’s 2009 Travelers of the Year Showcase.
Anna “Chris” Creager, Med/Surg Registered Nurse, and Bobbi Polley, Medical Technologist, embody all that represents Traveler of the Year and both are truly dedicated healthcare professionals.
“Anna and Bobbi have both shown what it takes to be very successful travelers,” said Scott Anderson, President of Medical Solutions. “Each has a passion for adventure, fellowship and an unrequited desire for providing the absolute best in patient care. Ms. Creager began traveling with Medical Solutions in 2007 and has completed 5 assignments. During her sixth (current) assignment she received word of a parent’s worst nightmare. Her daughter and grandson had been in a horrible car accident. It was assumed that she would be leaving her assignment to be with her loved ones, but after making sure the two were alright, she decided to stay. Anna said, “Although as a parent I would love to end my contract to be with my family, I made a commitment to the hospital and to Medical Solutions and I will honor my contract. The right thing to do is to stick out this contract to the end and show my family what dedication and hard work are truly about.” It’s nurses like Anna that give the nursing profession the respect it deserves.
Bobbi Polley started traveling with Medical Solutions in April of this year and has since extended her assignment multiple times to assist with a medical lab. She immediately jumped in with both feet to help the facility prepare for its next CLIA inspection. The clinical director as well as her supervisor constantly sent updates to Bobbi’s Career Consultant and the Client Manager at Medical Solutions to notify them of how well she was adjusting in such little time. Her ability to take ownership of any situation proved valuable as she was a key reason the facility passed its CLIA inspection with rave reviews. Her dedication and work ethic proved to be the catalyst to an unorthodox move made by the clinical director. Bobbi’s skills and experience led her to be promoted within the lab and her one time supervisor now reports to her. Bobbi’s ambition and workmanship is what led to her acknowledgement as Traveler of the Year. She should be looked upon by her peers as an outstanding example of a true professional.
