Sex, Kids, & the Internet Seminar

This is a free internet safety seminar to educate and equip the parent of today's Net-savvy kids. Thursday, November 9th, at 6:30 pm. Come and learn about the threat to your children and how to combat it with effective parenting and computer tools.

San Antonio, TX, October 17, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Grace Point Church of San Antonio will be hosting an Internet Safety program for parents to be held on Thursday, November 9th, at 6:30 pm. The program, presented by Knights’ Quest Ministries of Fort Worth, TX, is entitled "Sex, Kids, & the Internet – For Parents" and is designed to help parents deal with the twin Internet threats posed by pornography and Internet predators. The Seminar will not only inform parents of the true nature of the threats to our children, but will also practically equip them to deal with these dangers. Due to the nature of the material, no one under 18 will be admitted.

With recent studies showing that the largest consumers of internet pornography consumers are children between the ages of 12 and 17, it is imperative that parents become well-informed and equipped to guide their children past the temptations found online. In addition, predators are aggressively soliciting our children over the Internet without parents’ knowledge, and parents must become aware of how to ensure that their children are safe online.

The Sex, Kids, & the Internet Seminar provides parents with detailed information on how pornographers and predators operate, step-by-step guidance on how to protect our children from objectionable material (especially pornography), and how to protect children from predators on the Internet. Actions that parents should take if they find evidence of involvement with pornography or of contact with a possible predator are also provided.

The Seminar is free and open to the public. Optional seminar materials will be available for purchase for $15/package. Childcare is available by reservation. Concurrently, they will offer Students and the Internet, a seminar designed to Biblically inform this generation of students how they can and should protect themselves and their peers from possible dangers posed by the Internet. Recommended for ages 11-17.

Knights' Quest Ministries provides workshops and seminars dealing with Internet Safety, Christian moral purity, and Christian sexuality. Its objective is to equip adults and youth to avoid the many dangers to the family within our society through sound Biblical and doctrinal teachings.
