)-- American Top Team Longwood, a leader in Mixed Martial Arts, is proud to announce its after school program has enrolled over 125 children and teenagers. This represents a significant milestone for an organization that represents the fastest growing sport in the world, here in Seminole County.
American Top Team provides after school services for the Altamonte Springs/Longwood areas, with pick up services that reduce hassle for the parents and more importantly keep children off the street and out of trouble. Students are brought into an environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude. The program instructs elements of Boxing, Kickboxing, Karate, Wrestling, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu used by Mixed Martial Artists all over the world.
The after school program at ATT has received praise from local officials as being “a great way of keeping kids out of trouble and around responsible instructors who will ensure they learn values that are useful everywhere.” Manager Joseph Pernia credits the success of the program to the community and the popularity of the sport: “It’s a rewarding experience that allows me to provide a service to Seminole County that helps parents keep their children in a rewarding and positive environment.”
American Top Team Longwood is the flagship client of FTS.
Pernia hopes the program will continue its success in 2010. “Someday I would like to say that ATT Longwood has taken 1000 children and teenagers off the street and has taught them valuable lessons that will help them be successful down the road.”
