Doryan Winkelman Joins Lennar Virginia as Executive Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development

Lennar Virginia Announces Doryan Winkelman as Executive Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development.

Chantilly, VA, January 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lennar announced that Doryan Winkelman has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development. Mr. Winkelman will be responsible for identifying, creating, developing, managing and completing real estate acquisitions for Lennar’s Virginia Division.

Mr. Winkelman joins Lennar following a 21-year track record of more than $200 million of successful acquisitions throughout Virginia and Maryland. Most recently Mr. Winkelman held the position of Senior Vice President at Basheer/Edgemoore-Properties, LLC. During his nine-year tenure, Mr. Winkelman initiated expansion efforts producing a 350 percent increase in gross revenue and an 800 percent increase in net profit. He also supervised preparation of all feasibility studies for 25 completed acquisitions with a build-out value of more than $1.6 billion.

Mr. Winkelman has a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. More recently, he has completed executive education in real estate from the Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Design. Mr. Winkelman is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s National Residential Neighborhood Development Council and, regionally, a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association. He is a registered architect, AIA member, LEED Accredited Professional, licensed general contractor and licensed real estate broker.
