Dig This® Announces Franchise Opportunities

Distinctive heavy equipment play arena business model now available to entrepreneurs

Steamboat Springs, CO, January 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dig This®, the nation’s first-and-only recreational heavy equipment dirt-moving compound, announced today it will now offer its signature giant sandbox experience on a national level through franchise opportunities.

Since opening in 2007, Dig This has fulfilled the dreams of individuals and corporate groups from around the USA and abroad providing the ultimate venue to rumble around the world’s largest sandbox commanding the controls of full-size Caterpillar bulldozers, excavators and loaders.

“We developed the franchise model to address numerous inquiries from both our participants and the business community,” said Ed Mumm, Dig This founder and CEO. “The Dig This experience is truly unique, there’s currently nothing offered like it anywhere, especially in the franchise industry. It combines great income potential with thrills, fun and excitement.”

Dig This’ comprehensive franchise program includes: protected territory; proven programs, activities and curriculums; ongoing program development; on-site employee training; marketing support; access to marketing partnerships; planning assistance; and revenue sharing.

“We’ve invested four years of research and development to ensure the Dig This model has the greatest opportunity for success,” said Chad James, Dig This Vice President. “As a Dig This franchisee you’ll be supported by our dedicated franchise team.”

The initial franchise fee includes; site build-out; site manager selection assistance; owner/site manager training; on-site staff orientation; site selection and design equipment selection; and site specific literature and collateral creation included. Quarterly training visits and the Dig This retail store are available at additional costs.

Dig This’ inspiration came to New Zealander Ed Mumm, while he was operating heavy equipment to construct his home in Steamboat Springs, CO. After having fun clearing trees and scrub oak, constructing a road, building a pond, and digging foundations he realized the potential for a business opportunity and the concept for DIG THIS formed. The adventure-based facility, located in Steamboat Springs, CO, opened in December 2007.
