)-- Branding Shorts has won two 2009 Aegis Awards; one for “The Sparkle of Ironbound,” an upbeat two minute video for Adega Grill Restaurant in Newark NJ, and another for “Plaza” a moving two minute piece for Plaza Jewish Community Chapel in New York. The company also had two videos that were named finalists: “Magic Seed” a one minute video for Seed Plus Body Care and “Conspiracy,” a one minute book trailer for a historical novel set in the old Southwest. The Aegis Awards are the video industry’s premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials.
The videos were created as marketing tools for the various organizations and are the first entries for Branding Shorts, a new production company that specializes in branded online videos. The videos were directed and produced by co-founders Micki Pagano and Tony Parente, a husband-wife team that marries award-winning Madison Avenue creative and Big Brand Marketing strategy with online video. The videos were recognized for their outstanding production quality as winners and finalists in the category of “Sales/Promotions” by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals around the country.
