New York, NY, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Singles and couples who would like to trade in the requisite plastic box of heart-shaped candy for Valentine’s Day for a night of real feeling, intimacy, and sensuality are in for a treat this year. On the eve of America’s biggest Hallmark holiday celebrating romantic love, Madame X will transform its upstairs into a sensual funhouse for “Amanté: An Evening of Sensual Delights.” Romantic revelers can steal glances and pass notes in the “quiet room,” trade shoulder rubs in the massage corner, or find out what their future holds with a private erotic tarot reading. It all starts at 9pm at Madame X, and after a champagne toast at midnight the sensual funhouse turns into the “After-Amanté Surprise and Dance Party,” that promises an even racier edge from 12-4am. For more information and tickets go to host The Sensual Life’s website at www.thesensuallife.com.
Amanté – the Italian word for lover – is the brainchild of Monica Day, founder of The Sensual Life, and host of a bi-monthly erotic open mic event, also held at Madame X. “I wanted a way to celebrate Valentines that was fun, playful, and sexy – but didn’t have all the baggage that usually comes with the holiday,” said Day. “So we’re transforming the upstairs of Madame X into what I call a ‘sensual funhouse’ – and focusing on how we really feel things – with our five senses. In the world of dating, relationship and marriage, I think most of us forget sometimes to just feel.”
With its nooks and crannies, and uber-sexy atmosphere, Madame X offers plenty of space to explore. Guests can wander from one experience to another throughout the evening. Or they can wait for an experience to come to them. Sensual servants will deliver “surprises” to guests, who will get colored wristbands when they arrive to indicate just how tame or how racy they want their surprises to be that night. Old-fashioned introduction cards will give guests an easy way to mix and mingle with one another.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting such an unusual, exotic and exciting event at Madame X,” said owner Amy McCloskey. “Valentine's is a tough night if you're not part of a couple, or looking for something more fun than dinner and flowers. The Sensual Life’s events are very popular here. People love trying something new, letting their hair down, losing some inhibitions. This kind of event offers an alternative to both singles and couples and takes the pressure off of Valentine’s Day.”
The $50 per person ticket price includes a tasting of sweet and savory sensually-themed finger foods, a signature Amanté martini or non-alcoholic cocktail, champagne toast at midnight, and gift bag with free and discounted items from the party’s sponsors. The party’s host company, The Sensual Life, will be announcing and highlighting Amanté sponsors in their weekly newsletter. You may subscribe at no charge at www.thesensuallife.com.
“After midnight, we’ll turn up the heat,” said Day about the After-Amanté Surprise and Dance Party that starts at midnight and goes until 4am. Tickets are also available for $20 for the late-night event only, which will feature a DJ and dance music, and continued sensual surprises. “Sure, some people will be ready to go home at midnight and enjoy exploring further sensual delights more privately. But those who want to stay, or who just join us after midnight, should be prepared for an R-rated night, at least.”
