Golden Corral Announces Scholarship Award Winner

Local Community College Student Awarded Bob Glancy Scholarship

Concord, NC, October 23, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Platinum Corral, LLC a 13-unit Golden Corral franchise operator with headquarters in Jacksonville, N.C., has announced that Randolph Community College student Irina Duffy has been awarded the Bob Glancy Scholarship Award. The award is named after former Platinum Corral manager Bob Glancy, who passed away after a long battle with cancer and presents a student-employee with $500 in scholarship money. This program has made over $50,000 available to Platinum Corral’s 1,100 employees across North Carolina.

“These scholarships are a great way for us to demonstrate our appreciation to our employees,” said Billy Sewell, president of Platinum Corral. “We are happy to provide these scholarships to help advance their education.”
