HeartShare Welcomes New Board Members

HeartShare Human Services of New York elected five new members to its Board of Directors.

Brooklyn, NY, January 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- HeartShare Human Services of New York elected five new members to its Board of Directors: Kevin J. Breen, Dewey Golkin, Esq., Paola Y. Lima, Anthony M. Riccio, Jr., and Salvatore E. Strazzullo, Esq. These individuals bring a wealth of business experience and community involvement to HeartShare.

· Kevin Breen is an engineering and design consultant to private corporations and municipalities. He has spent his career in the construction and electrical fields and is involved in a number of related professional organizations. He is also involved in multiple community organizations in Brooklyn and Queens.

· Dewey Golkin is an attorney specializing in commercial litigation, administrative proceedings and taxation. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Golkin teaches classes at two colleges and is involved in professional organizations and community organizations.

· Paola Lima brings her experience in the real estate industry to HeartShare.

· Tony Ricchio has extensive experience in the construction and development field in both private and New York City development. He held various positions under four New York City Mayoral administrations and was an Intelligence Officer during the Vietnam War.

· Salvatore Strazzullo is an attorney specializing in civil litigation, criminal litigation, divorce, estate and elder law, real estate law and general litigation. He opened his own law firm after graduating law school and now manages five offices. Mr. Strazzulo is involved in several professional and community organizations.

These individuals join the existing 22 members of the Board who actively advance HeartShare’s mission, support fundraising initiatives and serve as representatives in the community. Welcome to HeartShare.

Celebrating its 96th year, HeartShare is a nonprofit organization that assists nearly 30,000 New Yorkers. Its wide array of services assist individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities through numerous programs including education services, adult day programs, residential services, case management, recreation programs, family support services, and health services. It also provides counseling, after-school programs and assistance with foster care and adoption to children and families, supports people affected by HIV/AIDS, and administers energy assistance programs.
