Local Law Firm Bears Its Civic Spirit

New Bern, NC, January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sumrell, Sugg, Carmichael, Hicks & Hart, P.A. a prominent New Bern law firm, has added a new piece to the city’s growing collection of public art.

By its sponsorship of a new Beartown Bear, the firm has continued a tradition of support for the essence of New Bern’s unique culture and personality. The bear is the adopted symbol of historic New Bern, which is enjoying its 300-year anniversary.

The new bear is also designed to represent the firm’s own personality, with a modern, and sporty image that’s powerful, but fun. The bear even carries its own Blackberry cell phone. Like the firm itself, it’s a unique blend of tradition and technology.

The Sumrell Sugg bear was designed and painted by a local artist, Ann Gray. Named by the staff at Sumrell Sugg “Barrister Bear” is on display at 416 Pollock Street, and brings to 44 the collection of bears that roam the city.
