Online fundraising software services provider, DoJiggy, today announced the 2009-2010 award recipients for their annual DoJiggy Giving™ program, which supports nonprofits and community organizations through cash donations and in-kind software services.

Boulder, CO, February 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Online fundraising software services provider, DoJiggy, today announced the 2009-2010 award recipients for their annual DoJiggy Giving™ program. DoJiggy Giving supports nonprofits and community organizations through cash donations and in-kind software services based on a percentage of the company’s annual profits.

This year, the DoJiggy Giving Program distributed seven cash awards ranging from $500 - $1,000. Award recipients were selected based on the following criteria: (1) Overview of the organization’s cause and need for financial support (2) Purpose of funding including: goals, planned activities, and timeline for implementation (3) Expected results during funding period and evaluating measures of success.

$1000 awards were presented to the following organizations:
1. Roots of Development, a nonprofit dedicated to helping impoverished communities in Haiti obtain resources to sustainably manage development. This organization stood out for their ability to work from the bottom-up emphasizing the overall development process through grassroots, community-driven programs.

2. Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association (RMSLA), a community organization dedicated to educating communities in the Rocky Mountain region to make healthy, sustainable choices. Not only did this group successfully accomplish their mission, but DoJiggy founders also strongly believe in the importance of sustainability and looking forward to future generations.

3. Buen Pastor, located in Guanajuato, Mexico, is part of a worldwide organization, Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Their mission is to educate girls, and help women find a way out of domestic violence by providing shelters, as well as psychological and legal counseling. This women-run organization was selected by going above and beyond their efforts to help disadvantaged women, by additionally striving to break poverty and create change in their community.

$500 award candidates include the following organizations: "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County, Pro Bono Law of BC (British Columbia), The Metrowest Interfaith Hospitality Network of Massachusetts, and cityWILD of Denver, Colorado.

When selecting award recipients, DoJiggy reviews the required criteria, but also strives to award organizations with diverse missions and goals. This year’s award candidate pool includes: environmental and sustainability programs, developmental projects in poverty-stricken regions, initiatives to support abused women, children and homeless, and programs offering pro-bono legal services.

“The decision this year was difficult with more than fifty diverse applications highlighting the amazing work being done by a wide range of non-profits,” said Lisa Bennett, program director. “We’d like to congratulate award winners and thank all the organizations who submitted applications for their dedication to making the world a better place.”
