J.P. Turner hires Greg Mausz to lead the development of training programs for their independent representatives.

Atlanta, GA, February 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- J.P. Turner & Company, LLC (Member SIPC) recently announced that Greg Mausz will serve as national director of training and development for their Institute for Advisor Growth. Mausz has over 13 years experience in the financial services industry and will be responsible for implementing training programs that concentrate on teaching product knowledge, marketing strategies and business building skills.

“For the last eight years, I’ve been working in sales management helping individuals and teams raise and invest capital,” commented Mausz. “I’ve had the opportunity of working on both the production distribution and retail sides of the financial services industry. More importantly I’ve worked with reps across the country in firms of various sizes and I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. I’m able to bring that knowledge and wisdom to the advisors here at J.P. Turner.”

Prior to joining J.P. Turner, Mausz served as vice president for Grubb & Ellis, a commercial real estate advisory firm, where he marketed real estate securities such as non-traded REITs, TIC 1031 Exchanges, and real estate private placements. Mausz also served as vice president of national accounts for Wells Real Estate Funds and started in the industry as a retail financial advisor for Prudential Securities. Mausz holds an MBA from Kennesaw State University and a bachelor of science in business administration from Samford University and Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

The Institute for Advisor Growth
The Institute for Advisor Growth was founded by J.P. Turner CEO, Tim McAfee. McAfee noticed a couple of trends. The first being a growing demand for wealth management services to help baby boomers and seniors transfer assets from one generation to the next. Second, independent advisors are seeking more home office support for education, training and business building. In response, he established the Institute to provide training for reps at every stage of their business’ development and meet the needs of advisors and their clients.

The first program to launch from the Institute is Foundations. The Foundations program is based in Atlanta and provides training and mentoring to newly licensed and established reps. It is available to all J.P. Turner independent branch offices. The firm leverages video conferencing, an online learning portal and a proprietary client relationship management system to provide daily classroom instruction and create a rich learning experience for reps located across the country. The program starts with a 90 day intensive experience and continues with individual and group coaching for the next nine months. The Foundations program enrolls on a quarterly basis. Program start dates for 2010 are April 5, July 12 and October 4.
