M3 Records Officially Launches Their School is Cool Campaign

Record Label stands up against student apathy regarding school.

Akron, OH, February 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- M3 Records Ohio and Pro Flow Radio have officially launched their School is Cool campaign at YouCanGetItInSchool.com. The execs at M3 are addressing a problem needing immediate and sincere attention. “The dangerous ailment infecting our Nation today is our youth's apathy regarding school," says Nujam (CEO of Millennium Music Mission Records).

M3 Records has chosen to support other groups' involvement to influence tomorrow's leaders. “We need to help them prepare for the real world and also manifest opportunity unknowingly squandered,” stated Mike MaxHeat Mosley of M3. According to Nujam, "M3 is always assessing social responsibility respecting the projects we invest in. It's a collaboration with artists of another kind.” The School is Cool campaign is an effort to assist educators striving daily to show students how imperative it is to maximize opportunity and resources available in their schools. "It's this environment that inspired us at M3 Records to pen our school song twin spin “Skinny Jeans” and “Knowledge Rules” to inspire others. What kids learn and or don't learn will follow them the rest of their lives". Both songs are available online for free. Skinny Jeans will be released in March 2010 while Knowledge Rules is broadcasting right now.

Why is this issue so important? Every day over 7000 kids drop out of school adding up to 1.2 million yearly dropouts in United states alone. The troubled generation will wreak havoc on society. Men, Blacks and Hispanics lead these depressing numbers therefore leading to a chain reaction of economic losses. The Center for Labor Market Studies (CLMS) revealed in its "2009 Dropout Report" that in 2007, 6.2 million people in the U.S. between 16 and 24 years of age were dropouts. Black dropouts have the highest jobless rate at 69%. “Working in the Akron Public School System in Ohio has afforded me a birds eye view of the nonchalant attitude permeating in so many minds of students,” stated Nujam. “There is clearly a lackadaisical spirit on the part of too many and it is extremely disheartening."

Many students do not realize they are cheating themselves and their future offspring. This social condition will also inevitably be a heavy burden on the nation's government assistance capacity to say the least. In addition, "the teachers need help in persuading the kids to put their best foot forward. We sponsored these songs to do our part as allies for the cause. We are hopeful that these songs will help shape a new attitude and commitment in students. School is Cool is the slogan we counsel the kids to adopt. If we reach one child we will have been successful. But if we are able to assist in redirecting more to success with caring individuals and groups committed to empowering our youth, then we as a nation will be triumphant. We don't want them to just stay in school, we want them to excel in school. There is valuable and life changing education to be attained in our schools. We encourage them to reach for the stars and don't settle for anything less. They can get it. They are not alone. We're on your team to help you achieve your dream," say Nujam.
