The Future is Bright at Norwood Flight Academy

Norwood Flight Academy has announced expansion plans as it prepares to celebrate its sixth anniversary in business. Improvements include online scheduling and a newly revamped website www.norwoodflightacademy.com.

Norwood, MA, February 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Norwood Flight Academy, a Cessna Pilot Center based at Norwood Memorial Airport (KOWD), has announced expansion plans which they hope will propel them to become the leading flight school in the Boston area.

"I don't have to tell anyone that the past couple of years have been very challenging" says Michael J. Thomas, President of NOFA. "But we feel that the time to expand is now because the worst is over and the economy and aviation are poised to recover strongly".

As part of this expansion strategy, Thomas decided to move the school to a new location overlooking the entire airport. It's a location that also has a lot of history as the building that housed Wiggins airways, which at one time had one of the largest schools in the Northeast. "We're hoping some of that old Wiggins magic will rub off" joked Thomas.

"We've already added another aircraft to the fleet- a 2008 Cessna 172SP, and we are in the process of becoming certified as a 141 school" added Thomas. Other improvements include online scheduling and a newly revamped website. Visit www.norwoodflightacademy.com for more details.
