Petals Launches Forget Me Nots

Petals Network has launched a new email reminder service called Petals Forget Me Nots. Petals is the first florist relay service in Australia and New Zealand to offer this service to florists.

Armidale, Australia, February 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Email marketing has become a huge success. Today, the top two marketing channels are websites and emails. It is estimated that returns on investment for email marketing is two to three times higher than other direct marketing methods. Even with these impressive results, few small businesses have taken it on board. Petals Network (www.petals.com.au) has launched a new service for their florists. Now, Petals florists can take advantage of email marketing.

Petals Network has launched a new email reminder service called Petals Forget Me Nots. “We are the first florist relay service in Australia and New Zealand to offer this service to our florists” said Scott Williams, CEO of Petals Network. “For florists who join we offer a limited three month free trial from February to April” Scott said. Petals Forget Me Nots is a reliable service that any Petals florist can join. “We guarantee that we won’t sell, trade or rent any personal information given to us and a florist can opt out at any time. This is consistent with our Petals policies” Scott went on to say.

The service will send personalised reminders by email to participating florists’ customers. “From our own results we estimate 13% of customers repurchased in a year when sent email reminders. From that we believe our florists could be earning an extra $1300 to $1500 in a year” Scott added.

“This is the most cost effective way to personally remind your customers about important dates” said Scott. When a customer receives a personalised reminder, their local florist’s details and Petals webpage are included. A customer will be pointed in the direction of their local florist when wanting to buy a special gift for an important occasion.

Customers can join with any participating Petals florist. A customer’s reminder can be added to the internet or fax order form, online or by bulk by fax. Petals has also introduced a new concept, the Point-Of-Sale cards. Customers can fill these out for their florist and their florist can register them. If a customer wants, they can take the card home to register online. Petals Forget Me Nots is designed to be easy and hassle free for both the florist and customers. The benefits of email marketing for Petals florists will far outweigh the costs.
