Employability and Skills Group Moves to Sheffield Business Park

Major growth over the last 12 months sees almost 100 staff at leading training business the Employability and Skills Group (esg) moving to state of the art head office accommodation at Sheffield Business Park on the edge of the city.

Sheffield, United Kingdom, February 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- esg delivers Government training contracts providing tailored work-based training for employees and equipping long-term unemployed with skills to return to work. The £50m company employs over 800 people across the UK.

Adrian Holmes, Group Chief Executive Officer, esg, says: “Our move to larger premises is an exciting time for everyone in the business and consolidates our administrative operations here in Sheffield from two offices to a single site. It also provides us with scope for further expansion as we pursue our ambitious growth strategy.

“Over the last year our group has grown from 600 to 800 staff, operating from 29 training centres across the UK. We continue to grow organically and are gearing up for further strategic acquisitions, as well as actively pursuing new contract opportunities as the Government seeks to address the economic downturn.

“We have maintained our presence in the city on Carver Street for the convenience of our learners, but Sheffield Business Park is the perfect location for a headquarters operation.”

esg is occupying 10,600 square feet of high specification office accommodation on the Europa View complex at the park, which is a joint venture between Kilmartin Property Group and Willow Road Investments.

Sheffield Business Park Director Graham Sadler adds: “We are delighted to welcome esg to our community. They join a growing number of leading businesses, including Stanley Tools, Seimens VAI and SIG to select our strategic site as the base for their HQ operations.”
