Dr. Berkowitz, who has been practicing for 17 years, is vice president of AOSMI and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in sports medicine with a particular interest in cartilage injuries of the knee and other joints, total joint arthroplasty, and fracture and trauma care. Dr. Berkowitz has been featured in "Healthy Direction" publications, has been interviewed on local New Jersey TV, and is on the staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, teaching Family Practice residents. He also has taught students in the Medical Science program, a specialized program in Freehold Borough High School, Freehold, NJ, and frequently teaches bone health and anatomy to elementary school childrenand the residents of Monmouth and Middlesex counties.

Dr. Alan Nasar, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at AOSMI, specializes in joint replacement, avascular necrosis, knee and hip arthroscopy, and fracture and trauma care. He is a member of the American Medical Association and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Nasar has completed surgical internships in general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and adult reconstructive surgery.  He recently helped develop the PSI, a device used for "custom knee" for replacement surgery.
