Care2Learn’s Valentine’s Day Giveaway Draws Winners

Tampa, FL, February 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Care2Learn’s tongue-in-cheek “Valentine’s Day Survey” targeted caregivers, who responded with an outpouring of appreciation and good will.

Care2Learn, Inc., the leader in online continuing education and training for post-acute healthcare providers, ran a promotional campaign for caregivers that awarded a dozen roses to three lucky winners. Care2Learn delivered three bouquets based on the messages their survey respondents wanted to have sent with their bouquets.

The survey, a lighthearted look at Valentine’s Day, offered a selection of endings to incomplete sentences, such as, “On Valentine’s Day, I want to be ________?” The answers varied from standard (“at a 5-star restaurant”) to exotic (“sightseeing in Paris”) to silly – but the messages requested for the cards revealed some interesting and surprisingly warm trends.

Next to devotion to “a significant other,” the biggest number of requests by far were from women who wished to honor their mothers. And while there was nothing scientific about the study, Care2Learn staffers were touched by the gratitude so many caregivers feel for the original caregivers – moms. Many respondents also earmarked wishes to friends facing an illness and administrators at long-term care facilities.

“One of our winners gave kudos to her boss – “a dedicated caregiver and administrator whose wages can’t possible compensate her for all the times goes above and beyond for her staff and her patients,” said Victoria Zambito, Vice President of Marketing for Care2Learn. “Another mentioned that she could never have done the things she did for her patients without the support of her husband and family at home, and the third was from a daughter to her mother, recalling how fitting it was that she received her Physical Therapist’s degree on her mom’s birthday and thanking her for her support throughout her life. We were honored to be able to send roses to these deserving recipients!”

The survey results will be posted on Care2Learn’s Facebook page on February 15, 2010.
