Kyle Dickerson Named Sumrell Sugg Partner

New Bern, NC, February 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Prominent New Bern law firm Sumrell, Sugg, Carmichael, Hicks & Hart announces that B. Kyle Dickerson has been elected to join the law firm’s partnership effective January 1, 2010.

Mr. Dickerson brings a strong academic background and deep experience to his new role. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, he continued on to law school at the University of Memphis, where he staffed for two years on the University of Memphis Law Review. Graduating with his J.D. with cum laude honors in 2000, he was admitted to the North Carolina Bar that same year.

Also a member of the Health Law and Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyer’s Association, and the Health Care Compliance Association, Mr. Dickinson focuses his practice on healthcare law, local government and municipal law, and estate planning and probate.

He is also an active, committed member of the community, involved with the Craven County Bar Association, the New Bern Breakfast Rotary Club, the New Bern Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Board to the Salvation Army of Craven and Pamlico counties.
