Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh to be Keynote Speaker at Entrepreneurship Event

On Saturday, February 27th, Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh will serve as Keynote Speaker for a Town Hall Panel to be held at the 2nd Annual Black Business Festival inside Downtown Detroit’s Russell Bazaar.

Detroit, MI, February 25, 2010 --( Charles Pugh, known for his outstanding commitment to Detroit, will deliver his Keynote Speech centered on the “Outlook for Economic Growth in Detroit.” Not one to disappoint with his uplifting and energetic delivery stemming from his days as an On-Air personality, Pugh will encourage and empower attendees who are looking to develop or grow their local business. Its accompanying Town Hall panel, “Starting and Growing Your Business in Detroit,” will feature counsel and valuable insight from key community business and political leaders on the benefits and need for business development in Detroit.

In honor of Black History Month, the 2nd Annual Black Business Festival is held during the weekend of February 26th-28th, 2010. The sponsors Russell Bazaar,, Metro Times, and WGPR 107.5 FM are excited to continue in last year’s success. Attendance that topped 3,000 per day is anticipated to increase this year.

Over the course of the weekend, there will be several seminars, forums, giveaways and activities that are sure to draw a large audience.
