Tampa, FL, March 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Corporate contribution, social media campaign and customer participation help raise funds for ravaged nation

RedVector, the leader in online continuing education for the design and construction fields, and its subsidiary Care2Learn, the top provider of online CE for the post-acute healthcare sector, know cash is the most helpful response to a humanitarian crisis. Working with its customer base of architects, engineers, contractors, and healthcare professionals, the two companies acted quickly to join the Haiti earthquake relief effort by donating a percentage of every order to American Red Cross Haiti Relief.

Both RedVector and Care2Learn facilitated donations through their websites, and each company donated $5 per order from January 14th through February 14th, 2010. Customers were given the option to match or exceed the companies’ $5 contribution, which was processed regardless of whether or not customers chose to participate. In addition, each company donated $1 every time someone became a “fan” on either company’s Facebook page. Including all venues, the donation to American Red Cross Haiti Relief totaled more than $13,200 for both companies, with the corporations’ promise of $5 per order ultimately accounting for more than $10,000 of the total.

“There are really no words to adequately address the suffering that befell the people of Haiti in the wake of such an epic disaster,” said Tom Wallace, CEO of RedVector and Care2Learn. “But given our ties to both the building and healthcare communities, we are acutely aware of the monumental effort that will be required for the nation to rebuild and recover. We wanted to do our part to help.”

The corporate culture of RedVector and Care2Learn has traditionally included participation in philanthropic causes, actively supporting Habitat for Humanity, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Metropolitan Ministries, to name a few. Expanding its local efforts to reach out to the Global Community was a timely and rewarding “next step.”
