IMAGINE 2010 to Showcase San Antonio’s Most Innovative Fashions

Nick Verreos and Rita Verreos to host student-produced fashion show.

San Antonio, TX, March 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The International Academy of Design & Technology will host its third annual fashion show, IMAGINE 2010, on Friday, March 19, at Trinity University’s Laurie Auditorium, 715 Stadium Dr., at 7 p.m. The event will feature exclusive collections and fashions created by 2010 graduating designers from the Academy in San Antonio.

Nick Verreos will serve as this year’s special guest host. Verreos competed on the second season of Bravo’s "Project Runway" and appeared on the third season of the show as a talent scout. He launched his own design firm and the Nikolaki label in 2001.

Rita Verreos, Nick’s sister and local San Antonian, will co-host the event. Rita competed on the CBS network's "Survivor: Fiji" (season 14). Since participating on the show Rita has served as a model and keynote speaker for various shows, including “Ovations for the Cure,” and a Stuart Weitzman fashion show in Boston. She is currently a spokesperson for Home Shopping Network.

The San Antonio community is invited to be a part of this dynamic showcase of vibrant fashions. More than 800 fashion aficionados attended IMAGINE 2009.

According to Brian Silver, president of the Academy, "IADT graduate students are at the forefront of fashion design and are prepared to thrill the audience at IMAGINE 2010. San Antonio is expanding its already rich culture with an innovative fashion culture.”

Tickets are $15 - $35, and are available for purchase on ticketmaster.com. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Photo and interview opportunities also will be available beginning at 6 p.m.
