Sumrell Sugg Partner Named North Carolina Super Lawyer

New Bern, NC, March 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scott Hart, partner at New Bern law firm Sumrell Sugg Carmichael Hicks and Hart, has been named a Super Lawyer, a major peer recognition honor.

Super Lawyers is part of a national initiative to recognize the most accomplished and experienced lawyers in each state. Attorneys are nominated by their peers, and are then evaluated against an exhaustive set of 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Databases of more than 150 sources are searched for the candidate attorney’s special areas of practice, organization memberships, academies, honors and awards and more.

Achieving Super Lawyer status is an honor given to no more than 5% of the attorneys in any state. The Super Lawyer list may be found on superlawyers.com.

Mr. Hart graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving his B.A. in 1989 and his J.D. in 1992; he specializes in litigation, mediation, appeals and law enforcement representation.
