Makers blend traditional styles with modern ideas to offer unique designs ranging from décor and figurines to premiums and keychains

Delhi, India, March 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The non-profit Kearny Alliance (http://www.kearnyalliance.org) has released the India Sourcing Report: Craft & Promotional Gifts (http://www.chinasourcingreports.com/csr/india-craft-promotional-gifts) to assist volume buyers to source from qualified suppliers in India. The report is published with the support of Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL - http://www.globalsources.com).

The report features profiles of 18 experienced export manufacturers, plus descriptions, prices and packaging details for 108 popular export products. These include figurines, votive and candle holders, wall hangings, desktop decorations, dried flowers, clock frames, mirror sconces, frames, keychains, tumblers, wall calendars, and desktop organizers.

“Quality buyers searching for handcrafted products have recognized that India-made promotional gifts are truly unique,” said Alexander Boome, program director of The Kearny Alliance.

Suppliers noted the main export markets are the United States and Europe, which account for 33 and 44 percent of total shipments, respectively. “Most surveyed suppliers anticipate export growth of at least 10 percent in 2010. They will continue to focus mainly on the EU and the U.S.,” Boome said.

Surveyed suppliers for the Craft & Promotional Gifts Report shows:
* 88 percent expect shipments to grow by 10 percent in the next 12 months;
* 33 percent will maintain export prices; and,
* 42 percent will raise quotes by 5 percent.

Monthly capacity of featured suppliers is 1.4 million pieces. Total export sales in 2009 were $56.5 million.

More new sources for international buyers, more export orders and jobs in India

“The objective of this sourcing report is to help create jobs for small and medium export manufacturers in India,” Boome said.

“This is to advance The Kearny Alliance’s mission of Aid through Trade. Global Sources – as part of its corporate social responsibility – gives featured suppliers websites on Global Sources Online to help them reach its quality buyer community of 888,000.”

One supplier in the report, Deepak Jain, managing director of Global Glory India, said: “The free exposure in the report and B2B Global Sources website offered by the Kearny Alliance can really fulfill our marketing plans, especially in the recovery period of the economy when buyers are getting back with large, new orders.
