Quantros Director of Product Management to Speak at Patient Safety Forum

Donna Scott, RN Addresses National Patient Safety Progress Expo in Ocala, FL.

San Francisco, CA, March 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Donna Scott, a leader in promoting safer patient care, will give a presentation, “Managing Medical Error in 2010,” at a patient safety conference tomorrow that coincides with the conclusion of Patient Safety Awareness Week.

Scott, RN, BSN, MBA, CPHQ, LHRM, is Product Management Director at Quantros, will speak at the National Patient Safety Progress Expo in Ocala, FL, sponsored by Mothers Against Medical Error (MAME). Scott, a veteran nurse leader, is president-elect of the Florida Association for Healthcare Quality (FAHQ), and is an adjunct faculty member of the University of South Florida College of Nursing.

Scott has served on many nursing and patient safety related committees and panels, and speaks and writes regularly on topics related to safer care. She is a nationally Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality and is a Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager in Florida. The American Nurses Association selected Scott in 2006 to serve on the International Council of Nurses Bank of Nurse Experts in Patient Safety.

The day-long National Patient Safety Progress Expo is one of a number of patient care-related events held during the National Patient Safety Foundation’s Patient Safety Awareness Week.
