TiE Announces Brand and Logo Change

Global organization shifts strategic direction to focus upon inclusive world-wide entrepreneurship.

Farmington Hills, MI, March 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Detroit chapter of TiE, also known as Talent, Ideas, Enterprise, announced that it has completed the transition to its new brand, strategic direction including a name change to TiE. The announcement was made by TiE Detroit President, Tel K. Ganesan.

“Over the years, TiE has built a strong reputation and today, we have a strong brand and become a well-regarded and valued organization. Moving forward, the branding and logo of TiE will focus on our mission of “fostering entrepreneurship globally” as the tagline. The revised TiE logo will no longer carry “The Indus Entrepreneurs", said Tel K. Ganesan.

TiE Global Board of Trustees have been discussing the focus and future direction of TiE for several years. After careful review and discussion, the Board at their September meeting decided that the entire word "TiE" would be used as the official name of the organization; and that "The Indus Entrepreneurs" would no longer be used to expand on the acronym. This important step was reviewed and reaffirmed at the December board meeting.

Said Arjun Malhotra, Chairman, Board of Trustees, TiE Global, “This decision was taken to position ourselves as a truly global and inclusive organization to singularly focus on our mission of fostering entrepreneurship. Becoming a more mainstream organization will result in several benefits for TiE and help us take it to the next level of growth; with respect to membership, sponsorship and expansion of new TiE Chapters. Considering the unique history of TiE, the relationship of TiE and its "Indus" roots and heritage will always be strong.”
