AshBritt Environmental Awarded U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contract

AshBritt Environmental has been awarded a United States Army Corps of Engineers Advanced Contracting Initiative Single Award Task Order Contract for Debris Management Services for Regions 5 and 6a of the United States.

Pompano Beach, FL, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- AshBritt Environmental has been awarded a United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Advanced Contracting Initiative (ACI) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for Debris Management Services for Regions 5 and 6a of the United States. The contract recognizes AshBritt as the responsible organization for debris removal, disposal and site management in the event of a natural or man-made disaster located in the regions.

Due in part to its impressive experience in providing disaster response and recovery services for federally-funded projects, AshBritt was one of only five contractors qualified for the ACI bid. If the U.S government grants assistance through the United States Army Corps of Engineers to a location within Region 5, which includes Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, or Region 6a, which includes the State of Hawaii, AshBritt would work quickly to provide the specified equipment, operators and laborers for debris removal operations. These measures would consist of, but are not limited to, segregation, removal, hauling, disposal, and structural demolition on public, private and commercial property.

“With our proven record of disaster recovery efforts in Mississippi after the devastation Hurricane Katrina left behind, we know we have the capacity, experience and readiness to partner with the USACE if the circumstance calls for a large scale, professionally managed response,” says Robert Ray, vice president of marketing at AshBritt Environmental.

AshBritt was awarded Region 2B in 2008, including Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and Region 3, including Mississippi and Louisiana.
