La Crosse, WI, March 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Honda Motorwërks will be hosting a compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling clinic at the dealership, located at 4th and Cameron Streets, at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 2. The event is free and open to the public. Participants will learn about CNG refueling systems, and the benefits of driving a compressed natural gas vehicle. Gary Evans, Vice President of Sales and New Business Development of Advanced Fuel Systems Corporation, a CNG refueling manufacturer, will be presenting, along with Chris Schneider, Hybrid Guru, and Tom Schee, CNG Specialist, both of Honda Motorwërks. Gary Evans has over 15 years of experience in the natural gas vehicle field and is the current President of Wisconsin Clean Cities, the DOE’s program to promote and fund the use of alternative fueled vehicles and other fuel reduction technologies.

CNG offers a variety of benefits—from being environmentally friendly, abundant from American reserves, and affordable. And, as this clinic will demonstrate, refueling a CNG vehicle is safe, convenient, and inexpensive.

Why choose natural gas? Says Evans, “historically, compressed natural gas has enjoyed a dollar or more savings per gallon compared with regular unleaded. Currently it is close to $1.75! Further, natural gas is environmentally friendly!” Says Evans, “When I was purchasing my Natural Gas Honda GX back in 2001, I spoke with Honda America in California. I was told that when they were performing the emission testing on the vehicle that the tail pipe emissions coming from the car where actually cleaner than the ambient air on that day.”

Says Schneider, “Even if you don’t plan on investing in a natural gas vehicle, you should come out to see alternatives that individuals and businesses will use to save money and the environment.”
