SkillStorm CEO Named One of Business Leader Magazine’s 2010 Top 50 Entrepreneurs in South Florida

Vince Virga, CEO of SkillStorm, has been named one of the 2010 Top 50 Entrepreneurs by the South Florida edition of Business Leader magazine.

Fort Lauderdale, FL, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Vince Virga, CEO of SkillStorm, has been named one of the 2010 Top 50 Entrepreneurs by the South Florida edition of Business Leader magazine. This award recognizes leaders who have made a significant impact on the South Florida business community. Virga and the other award winners will be honored at an award ceremony on Wednesday, May 5th, at The Bankers Club in Miami, Florida.

“I am incredibly honored to be included in this list, but I view this award as a team award” said Vince Virga, CEO of SkillStorm. “There is no way I’d be eligible for this award without the efforts of the amazing team we’ve assembled.”

With more than 13 years of experience in the Technical Services and Government Contracting industries, Virga founded SkillStorm in 2006. Throughout his career, he has acquired extensive knowledge and achieved remarkable success. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organization and oversees the executive team who is responsible for managing over 230 employees working out of 14 offices across the country. Virga is also involved in several other successful business endeavors – he is part owner of Virgis, a satellite communication business and co-owner of a nationally recognized multimillion dollar government contracting firm.

Virga receives frequent recognition for his work through awards and media coverage. His proudest recognition came in 2006 when he was personally presented with the 2006 Governor’s Entrepreneurship Award in the Mega Category by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Recognizing his own blessings, Virga believes strongly in giving back to the community and those less fortunate through volunteering and financial contributions. Most recently, Virga other SkillStorm employees collected in-kind donations as well as over $15,000 in monetary donations for Haiti relief efforts through the American Red Cross. Virga also adopted a United States Army infantry platoon for the second consecutive year; he and other SkillStorm employees provide support to deployed soldiers through letters, care packages, pen pal campaigns and monetary donations. In 2008, Virga and other SkillStorm employees worked closely with Habitat for Humanity, working towards the goal of ultimately eliminating poverty housing and homelessness by helping to build houses within the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area.

As an active supporter of our community’s youth, Virga serves on the South Florida board of The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization that helps young people from low-income communities build skills and unlock their entrepreneurial spirit. He also volunteers his time as a NFTE mentor and guest speaker, participating in several events throughout the year such as a business proposal writing competition.
