Online Voucher Site Save Launches in the UK, to Feed the Public’s Increasing Appetite for Money Saving Deals

Save.co.uk Brings Savings to UK Shoppers.

London, United Kingdom, April 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Save.co.uk, a new online voucher website, has launched in the UK today promising shoppers the very best offers and the most reliable vouchers available anywhere online.

The site already has more than 1,400 active vouchers and deals ready for use across a wide range of products including clothing, home ware, beauty products, music, dating sites and holidays, and new deals are added every day. In 2009, American consumers saved more than $60 million with Save.co.uk’s sister site CouponCabin.com. The team behind Save.co.uk aims to bring similar savings to UK consumers.

To gauge the UK’s attitude to using vouchers, the company conducted pre-launch research with more than 1,000 individuals across a range of demographics. Only 20 percent of respondents use money-off vouchers on a regular basis, which means that most shoppers still aren’t getting the best deals when shopping online, while almost 10 percent had never used a voucher before.

One of the prime reasons for this appears to be a lack of trust in the services available. Nearly 70 percent cited validity as the most important thing they look for in a voucher website, while 58 percent said they had tried to use an online voucher only to find the link had expired or the code didn’t work.

Save.co.uk’s voucher codes are rigorously tested three times a week to ensure that they work 100 per cent of the time and can be accessed without the need to enter personal information so a user’s online identity remains protected when using a Save.co.uk code.

“We are witnessing a shopping revolution. Voucher websites have begun to change consumer buying behaviours”, said Jackie Warrick, Director of Operations at Save.co.uk. “89 percent of UK respondents believe that the recession has made it more acceptable to use vouchers but only 47 percent of them use voucher codes for online purchases. This suggests that their experience with existing services hasn’t been compelling to date.”

“We believe that our valid and safe voucher codes will help break down the reliability and credibility barriers that prevent consumers from using vouchers to save significant amounts of money on their purchases,” added Warrick.

On the day of launch, top deals on Save.co.uk include: 10% off at Burtons, 10% off 2011 holidays with Virgin, 10% off selected appliances at Comet and free delivery with stores such as Oasis, Argos, Dixons and Game. For regular updates, consumers can join the group page on Facebook, follow Save.co.uk on Twitter or subscribe for the daily newsletter via the website.
