NationalCoachSurvey.org Will Advocate for Our Nation’s College, High School and Youth Coaches

New site will collect and distribute survey data designed to educate the public about the importance of coaches in the healthy development of young people in America.

Bedford Hills, NY, April 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- NationalCoachSurvey.org has debuted on the Internet as a site designed to collect and disseminate data about the great work being performed every day by tens of thousands of coaches at the collegiate, high school and travel levels. In a society where increasing emphasis is being placed on keeping young people active, promoting improved nutrition and more healthy lifestyles, coaches are on the frontline nationwide.

“Our research shows that coaches often rank equal to, and in some cases higher than, parents in terms of influencing the decisions young people make on and off the field,” said John Kelly, Publisher of NationalCoachSurvey.org. “However, they rarely get the credit they deserve. We aim to change that imbalance through a research-based approach to collecting and distributing information on what it means to be a coach today.”

Each week, National Coach Survey will host a new survey on topics that relate directly to how coaches impact and improve the lives of the young athletes they work with so closely. NCS will compile the information in the form of Advisories to be distributed to national and local media, Athletic Directors at all levels of organized sports and to coaching associations nationwide.

“As participation in the NCS grows, we also believe that coaches can comprise a substantial and desirable affinity group. We’ll be approaching companies that do a lot of business with teams, like equipment and apparel manufacturers, to make sure that the entire universe of coaches in the country has access to best prices and services,” said Kelly, a former senior executive at the National Basketball Association.

National Coach Survey.org is sponsored by My Sports Dreams, an organization which is committed to helping sports teams solve financial challenges without resorting to selling products or knocking on doors. To date, My Sports Dreams has assisted more than 18,000 collegiate, high school and youth programs.

“We deal with coaches every day, and know that they are truly unsung heroes,” said Jordan Kern, Co-Founder of My Sports Dreams. “National Coach Survey will be a valuable asset to their cause, and we’re proud to sponsor that effort.”
