Seven NAFA Members Named as Finalists for Fleet Industry Awards

Seven of the final nine finalists competing for three top fleet industry awards are Members of NAFA Fleet Management Association, the leading association for fleet managers throughout North America.

Princeton, NJ, April 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- NAFA is proud to announce that seven Members of the Association are finalists for Bobit's fleet industry awards – Professional Fleet Manager of the Year, Fleet Executive of the Year, and Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year. All three awards will be presented on Sunday, April 25 as part of NAFA’s 2010 Institute & Expo at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.

NAFA Members comprise seven of the final nine names competing for these awards. The list of finalists includes the following members of NAFA: Theresa Belding, Senior Manager – Fleet Services, Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Louise Davis-Lopez, CFM/CAFM, Supply Manager – Corporate Fleet Management, Johnson & Johnson; John Alley, CAFM, Deputy Director – Fleet Services, City of San Diego; Larry Campbell, Fleet Manager, City of Fort Wayne, IN; Sharon Subadan, CAFM, Director, Hillsborough County Fleet Management, Tampa Bay, FL; Mike Lisi, Assistant Vice President, Office Services, The Motorists Mutual Insurance Companies; and Fred Turco, Global Fleet Services Senior Director, Pfizer.

The awards, presented by Bobit Business Media (publishers of industry magazines such as Automotive Fleet, Fleet Financials, and Government Fleet), are recognized as some of the most prestigious honors in the industry. This year’s award ceremony takes place immediately prior to the Keynote Speech by Robert A. Lutz, Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz, who will be retiring on May 1, will be making one of the final public appearances in his illustrious career in front of hundreds of fleet managers from throughout the United States and Canada.

In addition to these three awards, NAFA’s Institute & Expo will be host to the presentation of the 2010 Larry Goill Memorial Quality Fleet Management Idea Award and NAFA’s 2010 Sustainability Awards.
